Heuchera, 'purple rain'

Plant ID:

Heuchera, 'purple rain' also commonly known as 'purple leaf' Heuchera.

Description:
Flowering in late Spring through mid summer, the graceful, whitish-pink blooms grow on 4-6" stems, which contribute to this perennial's common name, "Coral Bells". They grow in mounded form up to 12" in height and spread to about 18".

Attributes:
Offering lots of contrast in the garden with lush purple foliage, this perennial is highly adaptable to a variety of settings and is quite resilient to drought, disease and pests. The frosty variegation throughout the leaves provides further contrast and interest. The blooms last all summer and can be found in the spring and fall too when conditions are ideal.

Where to Plant:
Thriving in part-sun to shade, this versatile perennial is great for areas found transitioning between full-sun and shade. They mix well into shade gardens as accents, and can also be used in repetition for borders.
