Echinacea, 'rainbow marcella'

Plant ID:
Echinacea, 'rainbow marcella'

Description:
Echinacea 'rainbow marcella' is a hybrid coneflower with vibrant, multi-color blooms lasting from early to late summer. With a compact structure they grow up to 18" in height with a spread of 18-24".

Attributes:
Mixes excellent with several colors, allowing for a transition-effect between other complimentary and contrasting blooms of neighboring plants. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and birds with seeds available through the winter. Centuries of evolution along with the recent help of humans has allowed the Echinacea genus to develop strong immunities to pests and disease. Having a high resistance to heat, humidity and drought means they are also resistant to disease pathogens which thrive in those environments.

Where to Plant:
Full sun or lightly filtered sun. An excellent choice for butterfly and pollinator gardens. As a shorter and more compact variety of Echinacea, they nestle into pockets well and help bring depth and form to a perennial garden. Makes a great addition when mixed with other varieties of Echinacea... along with Rudbeckia, Lavender, Veronica, bee-balm, daisies, and your other favorite full sun perennials.
