Generally known as brown or black-eyed Susans, this specific cultivar of Rudbeckia, goldsterm has a mature height and spread of 30 inches.

Description:
One of the most easily remembered perennials with a name so suited, brown-eyed Susans have become a bit of an American tradition. With long-lasting flowers from mid summer to mid fall, these perennials love to send new flowers up for months.

Attributes:
Rudbeckia makes a great cut flowers, as trimming this plant back encourages new growth with both the foliage and the stems/flowers. They mingle well with others too, and won't take over your garden.

Where To Plant:
Full sun to part-shade. Consider planting Rudbeckia with Leucanthemum (daisies) and various types of Echinacea for a complimentary rhythm of pedal flowers. Accent the mix with your favorite varieties of bee-balm and Veronica for a classic New England combination of hearty natives, that's perfect for a wildflower or cottage garden setting.
